About the Club
At Pune Pioneers Football Club, we ignite the passion for football and train the legends of tomorrow. As the best football academy in Kharadi, our youth coaching programme creates an environment where players of all ages and abilities can learn the game and have fun doing so.
We have squads in youth and adult categories;
Youth - Under 7, Under 9, Under 11, Under 13, Under 15, Under 17 (PDFA Youth League and many other tournaments)
Adult - Senior Men's Team (Pune League, Thane League, Palghar League, Ratnagiri League), Senior Women's Team (Pune League)
Why Pune Pioneers Football Club?
- Officially registered club with the Pune District Football Association (PDFA), the official governing body of Pune football
- We have also created feeder clubs which are officially registered with governing bodies in other districts in Maharashtra, aimed to offer all our players a chance to play in recognized leagues - Thane Pioneers (Thane Football Association), Palghar Pioneers (Palghar District Football Association), Ratnagiri Pioneers (Football Association of Ratnagiri District)
- Proud track record of producing players for the Indian national team, Maharashtra state team, Pune district team and professional clubs (I-League and Indian Women's League)
- Only club in Kharadi and one of the few in India that is spearheaded by a UEFA B licensed coach, a prestigious coaching certificate awarded by UEFA, the governing body of European football
- We have a tie-up with Delhi FC, a professional I-League club, to offer our players a direct route to attending their monthly camps, aiming to get scouted and selected into their program
- 50+ trophies won and a lot more expected, across youth and adult tournaments in Pune, Mumbai and Ratnagiri
- All our players are exposed to regular matches and tournaments within and outside Pune and we encourage them to attend trials at professional clubs regularly
- 11-a-side, 9-a-side and 6-a-side training under an international curriculum, delivered by licensed and experienced coaches
- Social media coverage for all players
- Special sessions on nutrition, strength & conditioning, psychology, yoga and futsal, as well as guest visits from industry leaders

The Founder
We had originally commenced operations in 2018 as Mega Pro Football Academy, and upon achieving tremendous success at youth level, our Founder and Club Director, Ryan Roy Shah, decided to take the next step and become a football club. Pune Pioneers Football Club was created in 2021.
Coach Ryan is a UEFA B licensed coach with 7+ years of experience coaching at schools, universities, clubs, academies, NGOs and the Indian Army. He is a Masters degree holder in Sports Science & High Performance and a Postgraduate Diploma holder in Football Management. He has worked with district teams, been a visiting faculty at a leading university and has an impressive track record of nurturing players who have gone on to bigger platforms in football after training under him for 1-2 years.
Before becoming a coach, he was a goalkeeper in his playing days and represented the youth sides of Air India FC, Kenkre FC, Mumbai United FC and Mumbai Tigers FC. He spent 2 years playing for Brooke House College Football Academy and Harborough Town FC in Market Harborough, England.
Coach Ryan described the inception of Pune Pioneers as, "the club was formed as part of a transition from running a successful academy to a desire to give the city of Pune a club that they can associate with. We focus on promoting Pune and Maharashtra-based players and gender equality and aim to become a factory for nurturing young talent for pro clubs."
Being a football fanatic himself, he always works towards providing the best possible coaching, facilities, match & tournament opportunities, mentorship and care and is passionate to about striving towards taking Pune Pioneers FC on to the national football roadmap in India.

We run a highly-successful youth academy on weekday evenings in the Kharadi and Hadapsar areas of Pune.
